|Information about the maker|
French made, circa 1910.
|Dimensions & Specification|
Mahogany case with satinwood inlay and Fan detail. Convex porcelain dial with Roman numerals for the hours, the quarters marked in red. Original fine spade hands. 8-day movement with original platform escapement.
Dimensions: 235mm tall. Max width 148mm, max depth 90mm.
The case and dial are in excellent original order (not refinished). The case has a few tiny age related marks as shown on the large photos and a small repair to the stringing (bottom left). The original finish is demonstrated with the off-white grain filler showing under the french polish. (The grain filler used in this period loses its stain/colour over time). Its effect is rather exagerated on the large photos but is visible on examination. The movement has been fully overhauled for sale.
