Information about the maker
The movement was made by Vincenti and numbered 7511. Vincenti was a Corsican who opened the factory in 1823 but was out of busines by 1824. The company was taken over by Roux and continued to produce 'Vincenti' signed movements until 1870.
Really excellent order. The gilding is clean and in very good order. The bronze cherub is well patinated. It is signed but we are unable to reference it. The porcelain dial is bright and clean. There are small chips to winding holes but not enough to warrant restoration. The movement has just been professionally overhauled.
