Description of the item
These Scottish 'Drum-Head' clocks are sought after due to their pleasing proportions, small size and quality of their veneered cases. This one is by James & Andrew Kelly of Glasgow and is only 203cm tall. Excellent colour and patination to the case.

Information about the maker
We estimated the clock was made circa 1845 which coincides with the available information.
James & Andrew Kelly of Glasgow are recorded as working at 6-7 Argyle Arcade, Glasgow from 1845 to 50 then at Argyle St 1851 to 1875.

12" painted dial with subsidiary Seconds indicator.
